Kilo Lingo teaches the words that matter first. The 1,000 most common words of a language make up roughly 80% of everyday conversation, so instead of starting with "elephant", you start with "I need". Each word is drilled through a quick mix of recognise, recall, type and build exercises, and anything you miss comes back round until it sticks. Graded stories use only words you've already met, so you can read without a dictionary. Short example-led grammar guides cover the rules and the gotchas, nine revision games keep it fun, and every lesson comes with a printable worksheet. Courses cover Spanish, French, Mandarin, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Latin, Esperanto and English. Every lesson is free to read; an account adds progress tracking and daily email lessons, free for a week and then $5 a month.
